2000  Notice of Patient Advocate Program

It is a special woman that selects FRS as her option to avoid a hysterectomy and traditional gynecological procedures.

FRS Patient Advocates

Past FRS patients have experienced it all.  They have had to research and read as much as they could to learn about their bodies and conditions. They have all faced the extreme difficulties in finding a surgical option, the lack of community and physician support, repeated obstructions by traditional institutionalized medicine, difficulties with the insurance industry, and a general lack of emotional support.  To top it all off they have all been labeled crazy for wanting to keep their organs.

All FRS patient advocates had to prepare and have themselves experienced the process of finding FRS, the actual FRS surgery and the recovery period.  This is a unique and special education  and knowledge that is used by all advocates in the FRS Advocate program to help support and heal others.

The first requirement of the Advocate program is all advocates are to place a small FRS display ad with their contact information in a local newspaper.  This gives women in their local community notice and a real person to meet and talk with,  The advocate ad starts their pro-active advocate work.

To become an FRS advocate:

  • You  have  to  have been a surgical FRS patient of Dr. Hufnagels.

  • You must agree to non competition and agency agreement for FRS.
